Girish has been working in my laboratory since October 2009 for his 1-year MPhys project.
From my contact and observations, I have found that Girish has outstanding capability to work
on complex ideas in his project. He used computer modelling techniques to simulate electrical
activity in cardiac tissues in the hope of finding a link between ectopic foci in the pulmonary
vein and atrial fibrillation, an under-researched field. He was able to effectively and
articulately communicate these ideas in both a presentation and written report, both of which
achieved high marks.
