I bought my first SLR camera—an Olympus E-330—in my early twenties. I've upgraded steadily over the years and now shoot with Canon's EOS R3.

I was lucky as a foreign correspondent to travel and photograph many of the world's most unique people, places, and events. My photos were published everywhere from Reuters and TIME to the New Yorker and New York Times.

I now live a calmer life—and photograph far happier moments in people's lives—in San Francisco. I'm a personable, energetic, yet discreet documentary-style photographer, preferring fleeting moments which convey emotion over awkward smiles and poses.
